RUN!

This is  the age of interaction… They’re experimenting with their role in the pack. They’re learning how to play. Their depth perception is improving so they’re starting to  follow moving objects…

and They’re starting to RUN!

I’ve started to do some clicker work with the puppies.  I actually started when they were about 3 weeks (after ears were open) by clicking while they nursed.  Now I’m using more conventional methods…cooked chicken.  Funny thing,  they respond VERY well to the smell of the chicken but have a hard time figuring out where to target their little piranha mouths..  They think that finger tips are the bait.  My goal is to do some hind-end awareness with them.  Today the had the first lesson.  They were figuring out how to place their front feet on a plastic dish.  Once I have two hands free during the lessons I’ll get some pictures.  Poor Mica was going crazy behind the ex-pen every time he heard the clicker.  The girls know that it wasmt for them.
