Puppies are learning all kinds of things.  Every day they figure out one more key to all their gymnastics.   First it’s a grab, then it’s a tug and then.. pick up and carry.  First it’s a step, then it’s a hop and then its a jump.  Sometimes they learn more about the recovery than they do the intended maneuver.

I have a learning curve too.  It’s a lot more mundane.  I’m trying to perfect “poop proofing” the deck.  My attempts at industrial paper lining the deck lasted a whole of 5 minutes…. not to mention what happened the next day when it rained.  The whole purpose of the paper was to keep the poops off the new wood.  Well, as far as I kept extending the paper, the further the puppies traveled to make sure they didn’t poop on… the paper.  In the end it was a perfect way to prepare the puppies for things wildly blowing in the wind.

In this video you’ll think that the deck is full of garbage.  In fact it’s what I refer to as Puppy Toy Chaos.  I like to incorporate lots of odds and ends into their puppy play land … It’s all a means to learning that there isn’t anything too scary to climb up on…. fall off… or collapse under.
